Netto to be bought by Asda

Netto's acquisition by Asda is probably common knowledge for most people but for those like me, who drop out of circulation for long periods of time, then it is news.

I have a Netto and an Asda close by and shop at both. I mostly shop at Asda, which is the cheapest supermarket but occasionally go to Netto if there is the odd cheaper item. Currently, I can get tinned tomatoes (until mine have grown in the garden) at 8p per tin cheaper.

When I went to Netto yesterday, I was given a leaflet explaining what was happening. The store will shut for one month and reopen as an Asda store. I can therefore forget about price matching.

I shall be shopping at Netto, one last time, and buying in bulk the various items that are cheaper than Asda. I recommend you do too.

So James have you found a small holding yet?

I've gone off the idea.

I downsized so much that owning acres is too much to consider.

All I want is a big shed, a room to live in and a small patch of earth to grow on.

I am considering one radical option but won't say anything unless I actually do it.

For the time being, I have a lot of projects and electronics breaking/selling to do.

I just hate it when that happends. The same thing happened to us. We not only could forget comparisson shopping but we got the same lack of choice in items?! Grrr.
