The aftermath...

of the rioting. The shape of things to come. Financial meltdown, increasing population, decreasing resources. Soon enough we will all be rioting for the last loaf in the supermarket and the last litre at the petrol station.

16,000 police still in London. There are only 6000 London police officers so there are now 10,000 police not protecting other parts of the UK. As usual London sucks the life out of the rest of the country. Criminals outside of London must love it.

Of course, we can employ more and more police. Our police bill will unite with the welfare bill and drag the country further into the mire.

As usual the so-called "middle class" wants it all to keep it in the comfort that it expects. Free health that they can more than afford and police to hold the country together so they don't have to.

Although I do not condone the rioting, I have to admire the resourcefulness. Whilst the middle class cowered at home and pontificated on the television, others looked after number one. And that is, the point of self-reliance.

For a few days, the police had no control over London. All it took was a few hundred rioters. As the banking/corporate/political elite drag us all into the gutter those who can think and act fast will survive whilst the nimbies look to someone else to look after them.

Cities are unsustainable. Humanity is unsustainable. Get yourself some survival skills. Any skills that are useful in a post-modern world. Middle class workers who look down on people that are good with their hands will be pin cushions for knife wielding looters.

I have nothing against the term "middle income".

I don't like the term "middle class" because belittles those not termed "middle class".

A middle income worker is more acceptable than someone calling themselves "middle class" and looking down on fellow workers.

What was the rioting about? Was it as some said, the shooting incident, was it the disrespect shown by police to youths? Was it the unemployed losing their patience with government promises and fruitless schemes?
I dunno!
I don't think the rioters did either but I'm betting many of the looters were there not to make a point or protest but simply out of greed.

They see greed everyday and wanted some for themselves.

Greedy bankers, corporations and politicians.
