They won't have anything to do with nuclear or fossil fuels but put a renewable energy source near them and they go mental.
What are they going to do when the last power station is shut down? We know the type and they love their electricity so where do they think a future electricity supply is going to come from?
We can get a taste of what is to come by looking at Japan. All Japanese nuclear power stations have now been shut down, there are rolling blackouts (in a supposedly, most developed nation on the planet) and people are being asked to cut back on their electricity usage.
I once stood next to a wind farm and heard the deafening noise of silence. I don't find modern wind turbines any less attractive than windmills.

ha and this is what we are up against... over ruled because they all signed a petition because it would be noisy.... any one who knows that area, would realise that the major road that they would have been sited next to would have be a million times louder. there was a news piece where they interviewed a man in a suit. and guess what? that man and the lady in the black dress next to him dont even live in the same town as where the turbines would be. ah the masses have spoken
