Dumb idea - Printing meat

Dumb idea of the week goes to Modern Meadow. Wasting money on a dumb idea to use a 3D bio-printer to print steaks molecule by molecule without recourse to cow slaughtering.

Of course, all the veggies will jump up and down with joy. "No more killing cows!" Wrong! Do the veggies think beef farmers are going to turn their farms into safaris and charge people to drive their cars amongst fields of cows? No they won't!

If lab meat did take off (but not here as I won't touch anything that my ancestors haven't tested by eating it for millennia) then farmers would kill all their livestock and switch to another crop.

This ranks alongside the idiots who want to increase human longevity beyond 200 years. Can you imagine a world like that? Politicians would remain in power for decades refusing to change and progress. Science itself would be harmed by old fuddy-duddy professors unable to accept new ideas. Increased longevity would be a retrograde step for humanity. We need a regular turnover of the population to evolve.

Anything processed just fools the body and makes it unable to process the right stuff properly when it comes along next.

Check your labels and the methods used to produce your foods people!
